Long and pretty downhill on singles from the ridge of Stol to Žaga village. Enjoy fast and technical sections in beautiful environment.
Starting point: Park your car in the village of Žaga besides the monument "PADLI BORCI NOV" and Market Žaga.
Description: Take the road from Žaga towards Italian village Uccea/Učja and after a warm up, before a former border crossing, turn left. In the first part the surface will be changing from asphalt to gravel and concrete but later there will be only gravel. The road stays in the forest but you can meet PARATAXI because there it the paragliders' take-off on the top. Once you reach the meadow with hunters' hut, most of the ascension is done. Continue on the more singnificant road slightly right and you'll reach the pass in a while. Here you should turn right and follow the grassy path towards Stol. After some ten to fifteen minutes you'll be at the hunters' hide the highest point of this trip. The downhill starts from the hide and it's first part goes on the edge of the meadow and turns into the forest after while. The initial part will bring you back to the gravel road, on which you'll turn right and reach the hunters' hut again. This time you'll keep left on the field lane on the edge of the meadow and after about a hundred meters turn left on a path. After about a kilometer take sharp right and follow this path all the way to the asphalt road. Than left and in a few minutes you're back at the car. Except some technical parts this downhill is designed for a fast ride and is definitely worth the sweat on the way up!
